DEPOSTJABAR.COM (KARAWANG),- Gubernur Jawa Barat Ridwan Kamil membuka Kongres Bahasa Daerah Budaya Melayu Betawi ,di Swiss Bellin Hotel Karawang, Rabu (16/11/2022).

Kepada para budayawan yang hadir, Ridwan Kamil berharap hasil kongres tersebut bisa memberikan kesimpulan tata cara mengimplementasikan penggunaan Bahasa Daerah Budaya Melayu Betawi yang sesuai.

“Mudah-mudahan kongres hari ini juga tidak hanya membahas substansinya, saya berharap ada kesimpulan caranya seperti apa mengimplementasikannya,” ucap Kang Emil –sapaan Ridwan Kamil.

Adapun kongres tersebut menjadi langkah strategis Pemda Provinsi Jabar dalam melaksanakan Perda Nomor 14 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pemeliharaan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Aksara Daerah.

Dengan begitu, kongres tersebut diharapkan dapat menggugah kesadaran masyarakat untuk bersama-sama mengambil bagian dalam upaya penyelamatan bahasa daerah.

Kang Emil pun mendukung penuh pelestarian budaya. Maka itu, ia mengingatkan agar mulai mempersiapkan cara baru dalam mempertahankan budaya di tengah disrupsi yang hadir saat ini.

“Saya sangat mendukung pelestarian budaya karena budaya itu identitas. Sehingga pelestarian ini setiap zaman ada tantangannya. Tantangan hari ini kita digempur budaya Korea mulai dari musiknya, drama Korea-nya,” ucapnya.

“Kalau kita diam tidak bergerak akan disapu ombak yang sangat besar. Yuk, hari ini kita sepakat melestarikan budaya dengan cara baru,” imbuhnya.

Selain itu, Kang Emil juga meminta untuk tidak mencampur masalah batas wilayah administrasi dengan budaya. “Kecintaan kita kepada budaya jangan dicampur dengan batas wilayah administratif,” tuturnya. (Ali)
