Indonesia Hanya Menyisakan Pasangan Fajar/Rian di Babak Final Malaysia Open 2023

DEPOSTJABAR.COM (BANDUNG).- Satu dari 3 wakil Indonesia yang tersisa di babak Semifinal Malaysia Open 2023 akhirnya bisa mendapatkan tiket final juga. Dia adalah Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.

Fajar/Rian selanjutnya akan menghadapi pasangan Cina Liang Wei Keng/ Wang Chang di Final Malaysia Open 2023, Minggu 15 Januari 2023.

Fajar/Rian masih memiliki asa untuk setidaknya meraih satu gelar juara Malaysia Open 2023 karena berhasil mengalahkan Kang Min Hyuk/Seo Seung Jae (Korea Selatan) di babak semi final dengan skor  21-18, 21-17, di Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, Kualalumpur Malaysia, Sabtu 14 Januari 2023.

Sementara itu, Ganda putri Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti di semifinal bersua lawan tangguh asal China Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan.

Perjuangan Apriyani/Fadia harus berakhir prematur pada gim kedua. Hal tersebut terjadi setelah Fadia salah dalam mengantisipasi pukulan Chen Qing Chen yang membuat kakinya bermasalah.

Sempat melanjutkan pertandingan, pemain berusia 22 tahun tersebut tak kuasa menahan rasa sakit dan dinyatakan mengalami masalah otot atau tendon ligamen.

Dengan adanya momen kurang mengenakkan ini, Apriyani/Fadia dipastikan tidak bisa mempertahankan gelar juara Malaysia Open.

Sementara itu, finis sebagai semifinalis Malaysia Open 2023 menjadi hal terbaik yang bisa dicapai ganda campuran Indonesia Dejan Ferdinansyah-Gloria Emanuelle di pertandingan Malaysia Open 2023.

Pada, laga yang berlangsung di Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, Kualalumpur, Malaysia langkah Dejan-Gloria terhenti dikalahkan straight game 16-21, 18-21 oleh unggulan pertama China, Zhen Si Wei-Huang Ya Qiang deng.

“Alhamdulillah lancar karena tidak ada cedera, main sesuai ekspektasi, walaupun hasilnya belum menang, tapi kami bangga, kami apresiasi penampilan kami bisa semifinal di level Super 1000,” ujar Dejan sebagaimana dikutip dari laman PB Djarum Org, Sabtu 14 Januari 2023.

“Di game pertama kami masih meraba permainan. Kami ikuti arahan pelatih dan main sesuai pola kami. Baru pas game kedua akhir-akhir Dejan bilang, ternyata bola mereka sebenarnya masih bisa kami atasi. Cuma mereka memang rapat mainnya dan nggak gampang dimatiin. Jadi di sini kami banyak belajar. Saya belajar, Dejan belajar. Jadi nextnya sudah tahu lawan mereka nanti harus dilakukan di lapangan,” ungkap Gloria. Meski kalah, Dejan/Gloria mengaku mendapat banyak pelajaran dari pertandingannya hari ini. Keduanya pun berharap bisa merebut kemenangan jika harus berhadapan kembali di pertandingan berikutnya.

“Walaupun kami kalah, kami banyak belajar apa yang harus dievaluasi dan diperbaiki dari kami,” kata Dejan.

“Yang saya dapat dari mereka mainnya rapi dan safe, jarang mati sendiri. Benar-benar kuat, susah banget dimatiin. Bahkan bola-bola susah juga bisa kena. Terus mereka juga komunikasinya bagus dan fokusnya juga bagus. Mereka bisa mengatur diri dan mengatur emosi. Pengalamannya kelihatan sekali,” papar Dejan.

Dejan/Gloria juga mengatakan hasil ini menjadi awal yang cukup baik bagi mereka dalam mengawali tahun 2023. Setelah menjadi semifinalis turnamen BWF World Tour Super 1000, Dejan/Gloria akan melanjutkan perjalanannya ke India Open dan Indonesia Masters 2023.

“Untuk start awal tahun 2023 Puji Tuhan sangat baik sekali. Tapi PR kami masih banyak, habis ini ada India Open dan Indonesia Masters. Setelah ini kami mau fokus recovery dan bersiap untuk pertandingan berikutnya,” ujar Gloria. (Aris)
