Sebelumnya, pada saat mengumumkan pengunduran diri Luis Milla dan dua asistennya –Manuel Perez-Cascallana dan Carlos Grande Rodriguez. Persib berharap, Bang BES membantu caretaker pelatih Yaya Sunarya yang dipercaya menangani tim untuk sementara.
Namun, pelatih kelahiran Makassar, 26 Oktober 1990, mengambil keputusan lain.
“Saya didatangkan ke Persib atas rekomendasi Luis Milla. Atas pertimbangan itu, saya memutuskan untuk mundur juga,” katanya.
“Terima kasih untuk manajemen Persib yang telah memberikan kepercayaan,” tulis Bang BES, Selasa 18 Juli 2023.
Persib menghormati keputusan yang diambil Bang BES. Meski keberadaannya di Pangeran Biru, tergolong sangat singkat.
Untuk itu, Deputy CEO PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB), Teddy Tjahjono, menyampaikan apresiasi dan ucapan terima kasih atas dedikasi Bang BES selama ini.
“Kami menghormati keputusan dan pilihan Bang BES. Terima kasih atas segala dedikasinya selama ini,” kata Teddy.
Dengan demikian, caretaker pelatih Yaya Sunarya akan melanjutkan tugas Milla dengan bantuan pelatih kiper Luizinho Passos dan I Made Wirawan. (Aris)
