DEPOSTJABAR.COM (KABUPATEN BEKASI).-  Wakil Gubernur (Wagub) Jawa Barat ,Uu Ruzhanul Ulum menuturkan, Kabupaten Bekasi memiliki potensi di sektor perikanan. Aktivitas dan hasil tangkap para nelayan dapat menggerakkan perekonomian, khususnya di sektor kuliner.

“Ini anugerah, banyak pesisirnya sehingga banyak potensi perikanan yang dimanfaatkan oleh insan-insan di sekitar laut,” kata Pak Uu –sapaan Uu Ruzhanul– saat menghadiri Tasyakuran Nelayan 6 Muara Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Pal Jaya (PPI Pal Jaya) di Kecamatan Tarimajaya, Kabupaten Bekasi, Minggu (29/1/2023).

Pak Uu juga mengapresiasi para nelayan sebagai pahlawan dalam memenuhi ketersediaan ikan yang merupakan makanan kaya protein dan gizi bagi masyarakat di Jabar, terutama Kabupaten Bekasi.

“Kemudian terima kasih pada TNI AL yang sudah membantu masyarakat yang ada di sini,” ucap Pak Uu.

Sementara itu, Pj. Bupati Bekasi, Dani Ramdan mengatakan, nelayan memiliki peran penting dalam menggerakkan perekonomian di Kabupaten Bekasi. Apalagi, daerah pantai utara memiliki potensi perikanan yang cukup baik.

“Oleh karena itu, para nelayan ini memiliki tradisi yang demikian kuat, di antaranya melalui syukuran ini,” ucap Dani.

Menurut Dani, syukuran nelayan merupakan salah satu upaya dalam melestarikan budaya dan kearifan lokal sekaligus sebagai ruang silaturahmi antarnelayan serta bentuk apresiasi atas seluruh kerja keras nelayan di Kabupaten Bekasi.

“Maka diharapkan syukuran ini bukan hanya sebuah perayaan, tetapi juga merupakan kesempatan bagi kita untuk merenungkan pentingnya melestarikan kearifan lokal para nelayan. Hal ini tentunya menjadi tanggung jawab kita bersama bahwa tradisi ini tidak hilang dan harus kita dukung sebagai salah satu cara untuk melindungi sumber daya laut secara berkelanjutan,” ucapnya.
