DEPOSTJABAR.COM (CIMAHI).- Kepala Kepolisian Republik Indonesia (Kapolri) Jenderal Polisi Listyo Sigit Prabowo mengungkapkan, bahwa tindakan penilangan kendaraan bermotor akan ditindak melalui sistem elektronik.
Implementasi dari hal tersebut, penindakan bagi pelanggar lalu lintas dengan sistem Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) Mobile. Di Kota Cimahi pun sudah diberlakukan mulai Rabu (18/1/2023).
Saat hari pertama sistem tilang dengan menggunakan ETLE itu, anggota Satlantas Polres Cimahi menindak sejumlah pelanggar, seperti pemotor yang tidak memakai helm, berboncengan tiga, dan melawan arus lalu lintas.
Kasatlantas Polres Cimahi, AKP Sudirianto menjelaskan, dalam menerapkan sistem tilang menggunakan ETLE mobile tersebut, sebanyak 150 anggota polisi dibekali ponsel untuk melakukan penilangan terhadap pelanggar lalu lintas.
“Mulai hari ini, kami jajaran Satlantas Polres Cimahi telah memberlakukan penindakan pelanggaran lalu lintas dengan menggunakan ETLE mobile,” ujarnya di Mapolres Cimahi, Jumat (20/1/2023).
Sudirianto mengatakan, penerapan tilang menggunakan sistem ETLE mobile ini dilakukan di beberapa titik yang rawan kemacetan di wilayah Kota Cimahi dan Kabupaten Bandung Barat (KBB) karena di titik ini berpotensi banyak pelanggaran lalu lintas.
“Kami berharap pengendara bisa lebih tertib dalam berlalu lintas untuk menurunkan angka kecelakaan di wilayah Kota Cimahi dan KBB,” harapnya.
Sistem tilang dengan menggunakan ETLE ini, lanjut dia, diterapkan karena selama ini pihaknya kerap menerima laporan terkait banyaknya pelanggaran lalu lintas yang membahayakan masyarakat serta pengendara lain, dan pengendara itu sendiri.
“Jadi atas perintah Bapak Kapolres dan persetujuan dari Forkopimda Kota Cimahi dan KBB, jadi kami jajaran Satlantas Polres Cimahi menerapkan tilang ETLE mobile menggunakan HP,” jelasnya.
Sudirianto mengatakan, dalam menerapkan sistem tilang ini, personel yang ada di lapangan dibekali ponsel yang sudah memiliki aplikasi ETLE, kemudian petugas memfoto pengendara yang melanggar.
“Kemudian data pelanggar dikirim ke back office yang ada di kantor Satlantas Polres Cimahi. Setelah itu kami cek di operator, apabila jelas pelanggarannya akan dikirim surat melalui kantor pos,” tegas Sudirianto.
Setelah surat tilang sampai di rumah pelanggar, kata dia, mereka harus datang ke Polres Cimahi kemudian akan dilakukan penilangan sesuai dengan yang terekam di ETLE Mobile. (Bagdja).
